Now, China has fallen in love with love and its exploding wedding in...。民国时期战乱的东北，少女赵宁静（周迅）与远房已有婚约在身的表哥林爽然（张信哲）互生真情，即使知晓情路艰难，两人仍时常于沈阳与抚顺两地奔波，求的仅是多看对方一眼。无奈造化弄人，在两人的过分小心翼翼和他人的恶意破坏下，这段感情以无言悲剧收场。赵宁静伤心之余，任性下嫁她并不爱的富家子熊应生（邱心志），而此人为防患于未然，恶意陷害林爽然迫使对方失意离开家乡，自此赵宁静与林爽生变作两条并行线。 二十多年之后，战乱结束，林爽然与赵宁静在香港意外重逢，只是物非人也非，两人虽想带着补偿的心理重新结合，却早失去了曾经的热情。。
