罗斯和瑞秋发现酒醉结婚后，决定到法院取消，但罗斯担心自己离婚过于频繁而没有取消并对瑞秋撒了谎。瑞秋发现后争论了起来，最后导致离婚。罗斯在纽约大学找到了一份教古生物学的工作。钱德勒搬到莫妮卡的住处，决定暂时不结婚，而是先同居。瑞秋跟菲比同住，但一场起火事件又搬到了莫妮卡的住处。菲比以为自己引起了火灾，转而在条件较差的乔伊那里住了下来。后来发现火灾原来是由于瑞秋的直发器引起的，所以两人调换了住处。由换房引发一系列啼笑皆非的故事。而最终，钱德勒终于决定向莫妮卡求婚。。Sheila Hood is an ex-cop whose marriage is on the rocks.
