故事以北里大学十和田校区实际存在过的动物保护团体“犬部”为蓝本，讲述了团体创立者花井飒太从学生时代到成为现役兽医后面对动物保护问题的种种经历。。Spiraling out after a bad breakup, Wes ends up at a remote rest stop miles away from civilization. His situation worsens after he finds himself locked inside the bathroom with a mysterious figure speaking to him from an adjacent stall. As Wes tries to escape, he realizes he is an unwilling player in a situation bigger and more terrible than he could possibly imagine.。
