猫咪老师兴高采烈地出门参加奇怪的宴会。在意宴会情况紧随其后的的夏目在抵达的废宅中发现了浑身是伤的妖怪「游蔓」。夏目刚一叫他、只听游蔓说道「接下来换我当鬼了」、宅中顿时响起妖怪们的喧闹声。一问才知、在这所宅邸「回游亭」中、连日来进行着赌上山谷霸权的游戏。。剧中表现的是中南艺术剧院在商品经济至上，话剧市场低迷，剧院面临消亡危机的背景下，一群视艺术为生命的艺术家在困境中的挣扎和对崇高艺术的执着坚守。。A lonely tow-truck driver gets caught in a deadly struggle between a pair of bank robbers with a beautiful hostage, local cops, and a monster that has come down from the Arizona mountains to eat human flesh.
