《浊流》分为三个篇章，分别改编自明治时期日本女作家樋口一叶的三个短篇小说《十三夜》、《除夕》和《浊流》。导演今井正是50年代日本左派电影的代表人物，本片他以女性的命运作为故事的发展主线，细致展示了明治时期市井百姓的生活。。在这部悲喜交加的喜剧中，四个兄弟来到北卡罗来纳州，他们的母亲家中，对临终的母亲做最后的告别，却被被困在了一起整整两个星期……。Marnie just graduated from college, drinks likes she's still in school, and is looking for a temporary job but a permanent boyfriend.
