Outgunned and outnumbered, S/ Sgt Don Smith struggles to find hope and courage against overwhelmin...。故事发生在清末时期的浙江余杭县。靠替人写诉状为生的杨乃武（孙启新 饰）被已有婚约的小白菜（陶慧敏 饰）美貌倾倒，恰巧小白菜租下杨家临街房子，一来二去俩人产生了感情。小白菜自幼失去母亲，出身凄苦，杨乃武很是怜惜，让她帮忙在家做点杂活洗洗涮涮补贴家用。家中丫环葛三姑察觉两人私情，杨乃武嘱她不可外传，三姑答应下来。小白菜仰慕杨乃武才华横溢，便向其透露以身相许之意，杨乃武自知目前功不成名不就，允诺等乡试中举后定想法让她与葛小大解除婚约，自已则休掉毫无感情的杨詹氏，娶小白菜为妻。看似安排的周到圆满，谁知就此引发了震惊全国的天下奇冤......。父亲与少年关系生疏，两人决定以一次狩猎之行缓释心结，然而深藏在森林中的灰熊，却早已为他们埋下了生存危机。。
