A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry. Despite the murkiness of some of the issues in the latter conflict, the students pitch in enthusiastically on what they believe to be the side of righteousness, and passions rise to fever pitch. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide。齐欢畅（欧阳震华 饰）赌术天赋过人，18岁就跻身世界扑克大赛的总决赛。可是决赛前一时大意，竟遗失了3岁的弟弟齐欢乐。欢畅十分自责，以致在决赛时神不守舍，赌到一半时直接放弃跑出来寻找弟弟，这样他的对手乔初正（苗侨伟 饰）不劳而获的得到了扑克之王的称号。一晃十几年过去了。弟弟欢乐一直没有消息，欢畅自此彻底沉沦，每天以赌来麻痹自己，而且不赌到输个精光不罢休。欢畅流落到了菲律宾，每日都到乔正初的赌场度日。在赌场打工的周福荣（许绍雄 饰）不忍心欢畅这样折磨自己，用尽一切办法劝他戒毒，乔正初亦伸出援手，为他安排工作，帮他重新做人。欢畅十分感激福荣和正初，三人成了莫逆。这日欢畅在赌场遇上烂赌女青云，和福荣捉弄了青云一番，二人不打不相识，成了朋友。欢畅感到是时候回港找寻亲生弟弟了，于是踏上了回港的飞机。。本片荣获首届留守与儿童国际电影节最佳纪录片，并被香港中文大学永久收藏。 本片以湖南省一群备战中考的重点班孩子展开讲述。他们中大部分是留守儿童，读书成为摆脱自身命运的唯一出路。但处于青春期的他们，面对繁重的功课、备考的压力、资金的不足以及家庭的教育的缺失站在了人生的十字路口上......
