在一个架空的城市：洛城，主角陈旭是一位畅销犯罪小说作家。他已经连续数月饱受头痛折磨而无法写作，于是在妻子林若晰和好友兼经纪人阿德的建议下，决定和妻子一同前往一个新城市——边缘城，度假并寻找新的灵感。但在边缘城的第一个夜晚妻子林若晰被意外绑架。绑匪要求陈旭交出小说原稿以换取他妻子的安全。与此同时，陈旭又受到更多自称来自于他小说中人物的追杀。最致命的是，陈旭根本不记得自己有写过这本小说。陈旭必须救出妻子，并发掘真相......。The story is set in the 1930s, somewhere in the mountains in Romania. It centres on Simion, a ranger who lives like a hermit in the middle of the forest. One day, he stumbles upon a beaten-up woman, Irina, and tries to find out who has hurt her. He also tries to stay away from her but fails.。
