酒井大辅和恋人岛田久子协力开发出健康饮料“赤汁”，然而这种新饮品根本无法在东京打开市场，两人为此背上了五百万日元的巨债。热衷于这项事业的两人准备前往其它城市进行推销活动。他们选择了大辅的老家，认为在具有源头意义的出生地，便能获得来自四面八方的助力。然而这两个人性格不明朗、样子也不讨人喜欢、还不懂得推销的要领。家里的亲戚们都反对他们从事此业，以前的同学也态度冷淡，“赤汁”的销售前景依然一片黯淡。事业再度触礁后，两人开始在偏僻的小镇过起平淡本分的生活，然而他们依然在心中等待着人生转机的突然降临……。There is a geography of miracles.
