小说家亨利·哈珀最近被自己的一个梦吓坏了，他认为想搞清楚这个梦到底是在表达什么的话，只有靠他自己把这个梦书写下来。于是他决定去一个偏远的地方创作他的下一部小说，也就是关于这个噩梦的故事。然后，在出发的路上，他遇到了一个奇怪的流浪汉……。As told to a psychiatrist: Mr. Peabody, middle-aged Bostonian on vacation with his wife in the Caribbean, hears mysterious, wordless singing on an uninhabited rock in the bay. Of course, his wife won't believe that thing in the bathtub is anything b...。夏去秋至，在长野经营葡萄酒专卖店的松原辰平（役所広司 饰）百感交集将女儿送入婚姻殿堂。自妻子20年前过世以来，松原尽心抚养女儿长大，为此也曾放弃另一段爱情。而女儿的出嫁，似乎让这个坚强的男人体会到了情感的失落与凄凉。在此之后，他暂时放下手中的工作，前往京都拜访作家老友重 宗周吉（岩松了 饰），也见到了高中时代好友山边孝介（点点 饰）。受山边所托，松原前往夜店调查对方的女儿——也是松原女儿的好友——礼子（中越典子 饰）。礼子自幼暗恋松原，而这位初老的男人心中隐秘的情感似乎也正在复苏…… 本片根据井上晴的原作改编，为CBC开播60周年纪念作品。。
