老岳下岗了。他在街道和居委会的帮助下承包了一家宾馆，还特意请了一同下岗的工友小青和老蔡来帮忙打理。老蔡在食堂干过，就负责厨房。小青因为年轻为人热情又机灵，主管接待。宾馆重张，立马就有了客人，有老岳的孙了小岳，大款钱老板和太太，还有警察大李，窃贼大黑、小黑兄弟。宾馆里的客人多了，事情也多了起来，发生了一系列惊险的、离奇的、令人哭笑不得的事情，让老岳忙得不亦乐乎。。When a group of old college friends, now in their 30s, gather over Christmas at their recently deceased friend's remote mountain cabin to celebrate his life, they see it as an opportunity to come together as the cohesive unit they once were.
