The film describes the extraordinary journey of a young soldier trying to find his place in the chaos su...。南宋淳祐二年(1242年)，四川安抚制置史兼重庆知府余始筑钓鱼城。1258年，蒙哥大汗挟西征欧亚非40余国的威势，分兵三路伐宋。蒙哥亲率的一路军马进犯四川，于次年2月兵临合川钓鱼城。蒙哥铁骑东征西讨，所向披靡,然而在钓鱼城主将王坚与副将张珏的顽强抗击下，却不能越雷池半步。 7月，蒙哥被城上火炮击伤，后逝于温泉寺。钓鱼城保卫战长逾36年，写下了中外战争史上罕见的以弱胜强的战例，钓鱼城因此被欧洲人誉为“东方麦加城”、“上帝折鞭处”。。水下地震引发的海啸袭击了马里布地区，深海的史前鲨鱼被推上水面。在此之前当地人已经进行了疏散，但仍有一队建筑工人滞留，他们要于鲨鱼拼死一战。。
