本剧剧情是以“日本首位女性法官及女性律师之一”的三渊嘉子为蓝本，故事背景设定在昭和时期，主角考取明治大学新设女子专科法律系，而后考上司法部高等公务员考试，成为日本多位考上律师的女性文官之一，进入法院工作后遇上二战爆发，之后为了帮助战后遇到困难的难民，她向法务部提交担任法官的申请，但法务部驳回她的申请，于是她随即参与了日本民法的修法和司法部家事法院的设立，在昭和24年法务部点头准许后，成为日本首位女性法官。。Ada Karmi Melamede is one of the most prolific architects of her generation in Israel and abroad.
