陈建伟是一名年轻的电影编剧，正苦恼于创作一部关于潮汕文化的房车公路电影剧本，原本潜意识里抗拒但无奈老板强硬要求，却意外地穿越到了剧本中的世界，而这个世界却是一个平行时空。陈建伟渐渐发现这个世界发生的事开始失控，超出了他的设想，这一切却与陈建伟潜意识中一段尘封的潮汕旅程记忆有关。为了拯救剧中的人物，扳回日渐崩塌的剧本世界，陈建伟必须回到现实世界中，勇敢地找回这段封闭的记忆，而多年前他与女朋友的一段潮汕房车公路之旅也被层层揭开。。Joseph and Brenda have done what many only dream of and retired to the South of France to live out the rest of their days as if they were permanently on holiday.
