He panics, wonders if he's seriously ill or amnesiac, runs to his shrink, thinks...。1898年的天津，戊戌变法失败后，谭嗣同的师妹展嘉蓉和杨殿起用炸弹炸死了一个朝廷高官。 天津豆腐王的儿子傻二身怀“辫子功”绝技，他被当作“炸弹案”的替罪羊而抓进牢房。出狱后的傻二又开罪了混混玻璃花，后者鼓动一帮武林高手跟他打擂台，得胜后的傻二名声大振，被奉为“神鞭”。 傻二在众人的帮助下开了武馆教功夫，随着义和团运动的兴起，他又被众人怂恿成了领袖。在八国联军枪炮的面前，傻二发现自己的辫子功根本无能为力，觉悟后的他决定让儿子读书而不是习武，自己则参加了革命军，练成神枪手重振雄风。。
