本作の主人公は、大手化粧品メーカーに勤め年収1000万円超えの30歳・鏑木都。“バリキャリ”の彼女はある絵画に出会ったことで一念発起し、画家になるという夢を叶えるべく東京藝術大学を目指すことに。仕事と両立する形で美術予備校に入学した都は、才能の塊であるが藝大を目指して6浪中の青年と出会う。。On Christmas Eve in 1968 six-year-old army brat Clairee simultaneously learns the hard truth about Santa Claus and the realities of war. Her bullying older brother Mickey informs her that Santa insn't real and that their absent father is actually far away, serving his country in the Vietnam War。
