The absurdities of the plot, the sequoia-like quality of the acting and the prevalence of historical,musical and linguis...。圣诞节就要到了，过度保护女儿克洛伊的注册会计师麦克听从助理的建议，为改善父女两人关系，受邀到乡下为马场主理清账目。乡下新鲜的空气和热情好客的马场主人一家让克洛伊卸下心防，她尤其喜欢一匹叫赫利的马，而赫利也正是马场主一家最为珍视的。但马场因欠银行20万美元债务恐将在圣诞节关闭，即使举办舞会筹集善款还存在巨大的缺口，无法解救马场。无奈之下大家开始考虑用赫利抵债，克洛伊私自带着赫利出逃，众人找回克洛伊，赫利最终还是被带走……马场能否获得转机平安度过圣诞节呢？。
