陆珍珍自幼失聪且患小儿麻痹症，只能靠轮椅行动。因残疾失去生活动力，幸得母亲苏梅悉心照料。成年后，苏梅却突患癌症，既忧自身将逝，又愁女儿未来。为让女儿独立，苏梅变得“严厉”，却致母女隔阂渐深。。The film is a follow-up to Kvedaravicius’ 2016 doc Mariupolis, which followed the lives of everyday citizens in Mariupol as the threat of war with Russia escalated.。
