In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power. Eva Näripe。日出日落一天天，花开花谢一年年……谷雨（巍子饰）和他的陕北说书班子在陕西大地上游走卖艺，古朴的唱腔从历史萌发最终又落实在陕人现实生活中。青年夏至（邵兵饰）的未婚妻因为油田清理玉米地时被炸身亡，万念俱灰的夏至带上女友的弟弟离开家乡，投奔谷雨的戏班。时代在发展，曲艺已经不再是人们唯一的娱乐，谷雨的戏班收入并不充裕，但碍于夏至的诚意，谷雨还是收下了他。戏班里俊俏多才的葵花（孙逸飞饰）在演出前后免不了被个别登徒子骚扰，谷雨小心维护之，并且对葵花保有情愫。夏至血气方刚，面对前来戏班滋事的不良雇主拍案而起，但事态终于被谷雨平息，此时葵花却对夏至萌发了爱情，跑江湖的戏班生涯，这一对儿情人将如何自处？。德贵家的（倪萍）原本有名有姓，是随在北方务工的男人德贵来到安徽某个小镇后，她才被当地人按习俗称为德贵家的。德贵家的三十几岁时，仍无法生育，经好友金梅（艾丽娅）劝说，她抱养了女孩仙仙。为求丈夫在外平安，德贵家的像当地媳妇一样，在堂屋外置了一口注满清水的大缸，不想德贵还是给摔死了，镇里人就此议论纷纷，说仙仙有邪气。但德贵家的坚持认为孩子无辜，立下不进邻里家门的誓言。 日子虽过得清苦，德贵家的对仙仙却是好到不能再好，甚至金梅担心她吃不消悄悄把仙仙送进孤儿院时，她不惜与金梅“翻脸”。省吃俭用一切为仙仙之外，德贵家的梦想仙仙能像仙女一样跳脚尖舞（芭蕾），可是由于她一直背着仙仙干活不让她下地，仙仙长到四岁还不会走路。某次意外事件“刺激”了仙仙，德贵家的自编的“神仙舞”和歌声自此充满母女两人的生活。长大后的仙仙（李璐）得知自己的身世后，深深为拥有这样一位母亲而骄傲，其后，她也圆了母亲自她小时便在她身上种下的梦。。
