故事发生于80年代的香港，惠玲和小芬是夜总会的卖唱的歌女，经惠玲介绍，小芬认识了东南亚夜总会经理徐伟，徐伟帮唱歌的歌女们介绍大款，拿取包养费的分成。小芬和惠玲凭借自己的美貌与嗓音游走在各种有钱的老板之间，一次偶然，欲行不轨的徐伟被小芬撞见，小芬想阻止却徐伟被残忍杀害……。Tom Barnaby joins the Causton Chamber of Commerce trip to Brighton as he is suspicious of dodgy mayor Hicks' plan to buy coastal land on which to buy chalets. Also opposed to the plan is Lady Matilda William,who has had threatening letters, as have the local vicar, oily property developer Hugh Dalgleish and hotelier Jenny Russell.
