一名成功的画家，婚姻濒临破碎，自己也对久居巴黎的城市生活深感厌倦。心力交瘁之际他回到了远离巴黎的农村——那里是他度过童年的地方。母亲遗留下来的老房子已经被野生林木包围，于是画家登出启事寻找一位园丁为自己打理花园，顺便种植一些“真正”的蔬菜。巧合的是招聘来的老园丁竟是自己幼时的同学，两位年过半百的老人之间，由此开始了一场温暖而充实的对话……。In Uruguay, they don't say cheese in front of the camera - they say whisky.
