因为今年春天导入的“校园律师制度”，新人律师田口章太郎（神木隆之介）被律师事务所的老板高城（南果步）派遣到青叶第一中学。监护人水岛（堀内敬子）正在向班主任望月（岸井雪乃）抗议，因为自己的女儿受到了体罚。田口说，“你现在的行为是强行妨碍营业”，赶走了监护人。校长仓守（小堺一机）因为大事化小和平解决心情很好，但是教务主任三浦（田边诚一）对田口的做法提出反对。几天后，体罚问题发展成了谁也没想到的状态…。爷爷年逾古稀，身患重病，他要在自己去世前，为自己抚养了八年又非亲非故的孙子小杉寻找到亲生母亲。依靠仅有的一点线索他们踏上了寻亲之旅，一路上遇到了形形色色的人，经历了很多事。虽然最终寻亲的目的未能达成，却让二人更加认识到彼此在生命中存在的意义。。Takashi and Yuriko are like any other young couple.
